This project aims to be an initial effort to gather memories, archives, material evidence, and mediations of work in the Minho region between April 25, 1974, and 1995. Using an exploratory approach across four sectors of activity with historical and socioeconomic significance in the region, interviews will be conducted with workers, delegates, and union and association leaders linked to the textile, metallurgical, agricultural, and fishing industries. Through partnerships with representative organizations from these sectors, archival material will be collected, as well as audiovisual recordings of gestures and sounds related to professional practices. Posters, pamphlets, and documents produced by partner associations will also be collected. The collected information will be processed by cross-referencing geographical, historical, and artistic dimensions, with the goal of creating an open-access online repository of the collected memories and material evidence, and an exhibition that allows for the artistic mediation of these representations.
