2020 - Triangular Project
triangular is an action verb, plural, transversal and undisciplined.
triangular is a project of relationships and neighborhoods between students, artists and cultural institutions in the city of GUIMARÃES.
The triangular project arises from a partnership between the Degree in Visual Arts at EAAD (School of
Architecture, Art and Design at the University of Minho), the CIAJG (José de Guimarães International Center for the Arts), and the CAAA Association (Center for Art and Architecture Affairs).
This is presented as a pilot project that aims to evaluate the potential for building relationships and coordinated dynamics in the area of arts and culture, between institutions and agents in the city.
With this project, the aim is to promote the creation of networks and coordinated action dynamics in the area of culture and artistic education in Guimarães, based on agents already installed on the ground, enhancing the quality of artistic education in the city, the creation and maintenance of audiences and the promotion of artistic achievements of excellence.
GOALS
- Establish synergies between culture and the city in the field of visual arts through the construction of partnerships between the School of Architecture, Art and Design/University of Minho (EAAD/UM), Centro Internacional das Artes José de Guimarães (CIAJG) and CAAA Centro para os Subjects of Art and Architecture;
- Promote and support artistic and discursive production with a critical, experimental and disruptive character through meetings and actions in spaces and institutions in the city of Guimarães / Neighborhood C;
- Experiment with non-linear forms of participation, collaboration and collective action between students, the public, institutions and creators;
- Evaluate the possibility of implementing interinstitutional actions and their success in relation to the objectives listed.
