This book presents to a selection of existing archive material on the Summer School “Rebuilding Syria from within: strategies and drawings for damaged cities”, which took place at the School of Architecture, Art and Design of the University of Minho (18 July – 28 July 2018), in co-organization with Global Plataform for Syrian Students and IUAV – University of Venice, with the support of United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia. It seeks to represent the main activities carried out at the summer school, and emphasize the work produced in seven architectural studios focusing on seven Syrian cities which have been severely damaged by the civil war: Yarmouk Camp, Aleppo, Douma, Hama, Homs, Palmyra and Raqqa.
