This book documents the action research project developed in the Emboladoura neighborhood of Gondar, Guimarães, between 2020 and 2022. It was called the Palace of Imagination, promoted by Fraterna – Community Center for Solidarity and Social Integration and funded by the Healthy Neighborhoods program.

The Palace of Imagination portrays the process and results of the community co-creation of a place, imagined and developed with children and young people based on their perspectives, senses, and emotions, as well as the socio-spatial processes of recognizing their living space, with the support of various local stakeholders and partner organizations.
