This volume is a collection of texts written by fifth-year students as part of the course module ‘Critique of Contemporary Architecture’, taught on the Integrated Master’s in Architecture (MIARQ) at the School of Architecture, Art and Design of the University of Minho (EAAD).

Most of the texts relate to the teaching programme implemented by Nuno M. Sampaio between the academic years 2012–13 and 2020–21. The compilation also includes texts from the academic years 2009–10, 2010–11 and 2015–16, taught by Bruno Baldaia and José Capela.

In this way, the aim is to document part of the legacy of a decade of teaching in this field of architecture at MIARQ.
