Summer schools
Analytical Techniques and Digital Technologies in the Context of Archaeological Excavation
The Summer School “Analytical Techniques and Digital Technologies in the Context of Archaeological Excavation” takes place between the 15th and 19th of July, from 2pm to 4pm/5pm, at the D. Diogo de Sousa Archeology Museum, in Braga, and was created for students of Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degrees in Archeology from across the country, whether or not affiliated with the IN2PAST Associated Laboratory.
The sessions cover a range of topics, from good practices in post-excavation packaging of archaeological materials of inorganic origin, to 3D modeling and volumetric (re)construction from archaeological ceramics, including notions of inventory or preventive conservation of archaeological materials.
The training team includes IN2PAST researchers Carlo Bottaini and César Oliveira (HERCULES – UÉvora), Filipe Brandão and Paulo Bernardes (Lab2PT – Uminho), as well as Catarina Cordeiro (Portuguese Catholic University), Clara Lobo, Isabel Marques and Rosa Jardim ( Museum of Archeology D. Diogo de Sousa), and also the visiting researcher at HERCULES João Vinícius Back.
